What is the minimum group size for a private charter?
There is no minimum group size — you can charter a boat for just 2 people (honeymooners frequently do). Pricing is per boat per night, not per person, so smaller groups pay the same total as larger groups on the same vessel. For the best value, we recommend 6-10 guests on a premium phinisi, where the per-person cost becomes very competitive with premium open trips.
Can we design our own itinerary?
Yes, that is one of the primary advantages of chartering privately. Our cruise coordinator works with you to build a custom route based on your priorities — whether that means more diving, extended time at specific islands, alternative routes through lesser-known archipelago chains, or special requests like fishing stops and beach barbecues. The captain retains final authority on safety-related route decisions based on weather and sea conditions.
How do I choose the right boat for my group?
Tell us your group size, budget, comfort expectations, and key interests. Our team matches you with the ideal vessel from our fleet of 15+ boats. For couples, we recommend an intimate 2-cabin luxury phinisi. For family groups of 8-12, a 4-cabin premium phinisi offers the perfect balance. For larger groups or corporate events, our 6-cabin vessels accommodate up to 25 guests in comfort. We send detailed vessel profiles with photos, cabin layouts, and amenity lists before you commit.
What is the cancellation policy for private charters?
Free cancellation up to 60 days before departure with full deposit refund. Between 30-60 days, we offer a 50% refund or free date change. Within 30 days, the deposit is non-refundable but transferable to another date within 12 months. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. In the event of force majeure (severe weather, natural disaster), we offer full rescheduling at no additional cost.
Is the charter price all-inclusive?
Our standard charter rate includes the vessel, full crew, captain, cook, all meals (3 per day plus snacks), drinking water and soft beverages, snorkeling equipment, fuel, port fees, and Komodo National Park entrance permits. Additional charges may apply for premium alcohol packages, diving equipment and guides, special event decorations, airport transfers, and satellite internet on standard boats. We provide a transparent cost breakdown before booking so there are no surprises.
